Q: Do I have to be a computer “techie” to use TPT in our church?
A: No, but you do need to know some basics on how to navigate around your computer. For example, you will have to know how to open your explorer in order to find the files you desire, etc. All you need is an audio cable to plug your computer into your sound system, and a video cable if you wish to project the lyrics up on the screen. That’s it!

Q: Can TPT be controlled on the platform by our keyboardist, or does it have to be controlled by our sound person?
A: Total Praisetrax can be controlled by anyone you choose. I would suggest, if you are going to have a musician control the program, get our Musician Friendly upgrade. You can find out more about it on our site.

Q: We have a bass player and a drummer in our church; can we use just the keyboards and the other musical accompaniment in TPT?
A: Yes you can, but your drummer has to learn to be comfortable playing with a click track. This is the only way to ensure that everyone stays on tempo with the actual instrument tracks themselves. One more thing, the song files will open up each time with all of the instruments active. If you have live musicians playing along, you will need to mute each of their tracks before starting the song. This is done much smoother using the USB controller we offer.

Q: If I purchase the Standard Pak and later want to upgrade to one of the other packages, are there any changes I have to make on my computer?
A: No. Once the software is installed on your computer, it works for any and all versions and upgrades we offer.

Q: If we have a male leader on one song, and then switch to a female leader on another song; is it hard to make the selection for key changes "on-the-fly" during a worship service?
A: It's not difficult as long as you have purchased both the HI and LO song versions ahead of time. We give you the option of choosing BOTH versions when you purchase one of our packages.
Once you have loaded all of the song files into your TPT Folder and have opened each song at least once, it is very easy to quickly choose the version you desire within the program itself by
going to File / Open Recent Set / and selecting the version you want.
